On Monday, September 8th, 2014, the House of Bumble played host to this year’s techSTYLE Lounge for #NYFW14 by esteemed producers Janine Just, Inc., a NYC-based public relations startup, and nationally known fashion/technology blogger event collective Bloggerini, the brainchild of industry expert and TV personality Katlean De Monchy. The techSTYLE Lounge serves as a well-appointed hangout for Fashion Week’s finest to recharge, get primped and mingle among guests including the Real Housewives of New York’s Aviva Drescher and Ramona Singer, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Camille Grammer, Patrick McMullan and Toni Trucks from TNT’s Franklin and Bash.

Attendees were treated to makeup touch-ups provided by Chrislie Formulations, and manicures and nail art by Diosa Nails, both alongside some great views of downtown Manhattan. If New York has taught us anything, it’s that a nice cocktail also always pairs well with such a view (no matter what time it is), so Skinny Girl was on hand to serve their Sweet A’rita, White Cherry Vodka, Cosmo, Chardonnay, Cabernet and Moscato. And to help guests chill out sans cocktails (or in addition to), representatives of Oasis were on hand to offer their signature soothing massages.

The Flickable table was quite the hit where guests were delighted to meet a collection of whimsical lipglosses packaged to look like lollipops, which warranted a double-take for their style and function and proved to be a hit. With the notoriously hectic schedules of Fashion Week, every gal can use a fresh swipe of super-moisturizing gloss.

techSTYLE’s assortment of healthy, light bites helped guests charge up quickly without having to rely on greasy fast food. Among the offerings were chicken and veggie rendang, and curry puffs provided by Mamak, yummy frozen Greek yogurt from Jala Bars, and SexyPop Popcorn to munch on while mingling. And for those with a thirst for something nonalcoholic, Onli provided their heavenly array of fizzy drinks (low-cal and not too sweet!) while Happy Tree offered their Next Big Thing: subtly sweet bottled Maple Water (buh-bye coconut water!). For those with for whom a busy day means a chocolate jones, Brooklyn Dark Chocolate Bars was there to help out.

What fashion week event would be complete without a big dose of style? First up, since a day half spent running from show to show in heels and half spent crouching over a laptop can do a number on your back, UpCouture clothing brought their made-in-France, posture-improving tees to come to the rescue. Clever! Auster Bags brought their handmade, handpainted Argentinian leather handbags as the perfect carryalls for fashion girls on the go, and Stitch and Snowman came to outfit the Lounge with key pieces from their newest collections.

Ever connected and packed with memorable moments, techSTYLE wouldn’t be complete without some serious Instagram’ing Game. Guests were invited to print their posted selfies and memories instantly by tagging #techSTYLELounge, and could take advantage of additional services and products offered with showcasing their digital footprints. Along with the prints, attendees got to take home amazing swag bags, packed with goodies from assorted participants like PINCHme, who created an exclusive box just for the techSTYLE Lounge

When it was time to head back to the tents uptown, GoGreenRide’s fleet was waiting outside the lounge to offer guests a free, eco-conscious ride. Because car-sharing is caring.

Thanks to all of our amazing sponsors for making this year’s techSTYLE Lounge possible, and an extra special thanks to Mark Farher who administered the impeccable catering. We look forward to seeing everyone again in February of 2015. Be sure to check out the rest of the snaps from the event, by visiting our gallery right here: http://smu.gs/WEKhbJ
